How much is STRESS affecting YOU ?

STRESS ... so common to suffer from with today’s lifestyle and challenges, nobody is safe !!!

... But how much does it really affect the body ?


The negative effects of stress on the mental and physical body will depend on how often and for how long you are or have been under stress. Whatever the cause, stress will make the body release hormones that will affect both body and mental functions.



Unpredicted traumatic events can cause a high stress response from the body which we can all understand. But this is not the type of stress I am talking about here.

The stress I am talking here is the one that it is constant, the one that sometimes more and sometime less, it is always present. It is the “stress of everyday life”, due to work or family, due to unpleasant conditions or environments, due to busy commitments and challenges, due to the usual "routine", or whatever might causes you stress. ... At beginning the body will manage to "balance" the negative effects, but on a long run the body might start finding difficult to cope. At this time we surely need help, but often happens that we underestimate the problem. How is that possible ?


It is easy to recognise a temporary “momentum” of stress as it is often due to a “limited time situation” that should last only few days, surely not weeks. But if it last longer than just few days, or stressful issues are always more or less present, then after few weeks stress is no more a “temporary” situation, and if it is already a long time that we try to cope with that stress, often happens that we get used to it thinking that it is “normal life”, or even thinking that we are not “that” stressed after all. ... Happens often to think this way, especially if we deal with stressful demanding jobs or busy domestic/family commitments. ... And this is when the negative effects of stress builds up in our body, leading not only to unhealthy physical conditions that might become chronic, but also by affecting our emotional moods and relationship interactions with families and friends. ... Have a look to the below picture to get an idea on the many ways stress can affect the mental and physical body.

This is why it is important to act promptly by reducing negative effects of stress before it builds up in the “Mind & Body”, ... and we can do this by “RELAXING” !!! ... Yes, it is so important.
